Tips to Make the Most of Your Busy Day

Tips to Make the Most of Your Busy Day

“There’s just not enough hours in a day!” — if this is something you’d say, know that you’re not alone. While no one can magically add more hours to your day, you can actually do something to get organized and gain more time even during your busiest of days.

Whether you’re working from home full-time or in a hybrid work setup, your to-do list may remain the same. The good news is, you can still enjoy maximum productivity with less stress by practicing time management and simple work tips.

Are you game? Follow these tips to make the most of your day:

Tip 1: List down all of your tasks

The first step to getting organized is to identify everything that you need to do for the day. Do it in a notebook or on your phone’s notes app. Once you’re done, let’s organize that list even more.

Tip 2: Identify the priorities

Try this method: categorize the tasks on your list into four headers — “Urgent and Important,” “Not Urgent and Important,” “Urgent and Not Important,” and “Not Urgent and Not Important”.

Tip: urgency means time is of the essence, while importance is more about how the task helps you get to your goals. Knowing which category the task falls under helps you know what to do now or later and what to delegate or delete.

Tip 3: Accomplish tasks based on priority

With an organized to-do list to guide you, it’s time to get to work! Do those tasks beginning with the most urgent and important items.

Tip 4: Split your workday into chunks

Being busy doesn’t automatically mean you’re productive. Fun fact:  your body works better in sprints so working for hours at a time is actually inefficient.

Explore time-chunking methods. Break your workday into chunks separated by short breaks, like 30-minute work sprints with 10-minute breaks in between. Make adjustments to what works best for you.

Tip 5: Have snack breaks

Rest isn’t for the weak; it’s how you work smart! Another fun fact: that ache in your brain after working for hours is because you’ve used up your body’s glucose. Take a moment to recharge by grabbing a bite to eat.

For a quick snack that’s guaranteed to be delicious and tasty, check out the latest flavors from Nissin Cup Noodles, Cheesy Seafood and Hot Cheesy Seafood.
